Superstardom is an intangible quality, that is not easily measured. In hairdressing particularly, it means far more than simply being able to perform a superb haircut. To survive and succeed in the hairdressing industry today, much more is needed. The South African Hairdressers Journal team is continuing with the series of Superstar awards launched in 2001. Superstar status is awarded to those individuals who have succeeded in the industry
by showing their exceptional talent, drive, business acumen, marketing ability, consistency, and dedication to the industry.
A select group of leading stylists will been chosen as superstars this year, and awarded an editorial write up and sponsored photo shoot. "Once again, it gives us great satisfaction to recognise those stylists who have shown outstanding skill and commitment to the industry, the motivation and drive to reach the top and more importantly,
the ongoing passion and creativity to stay there, by successfully promoting themselves and their work," says
Carol Ann Jamison, managing editor and co-owner of the South African Hairdressers Journal and IMAGE.
